Enjoy the second half of our New Zealand experience 🙂
On the 9th of November we arrived at Auckland and drove directly to Katikati were we have been warmly welcomed by Colin and his cute boys Axel and Travis. We had the possibility to learn a lot about sustainable living, solar energy, water energy and their living in the bush . Altough the experience was a little bit confusing during the first days we adaped quickly and really enjoyed our time there in the end 🙂

Athole and Alister adopted us spontaneously after our time with Colin and his boys. They treated us like family members and gave us the most valuable time we could have possibly hoped for. Unfortunately our time there was much too short but we made the best out of it together with them. They are friends from our lovely friend Jeff from Wanaka, who helped us to connect. Athole and Alister are such interesting, optimistic, lovely, intelligent people we will really miss! Thank you for this great time <3 They also gave us the possibility to come back for 2 days after the baby deer has been born <3

In Cambridge we had the opportunity to experience a stay at a Polo Horse Farm. We only helped a little with the horses as we have no experience and taming wild young horses is quite dangerous. Nevertheless we had the chance to help John, Travis‘ father, a lot with splitting wood. It was such a nice experience and John is one of the funniest men we have ever met. We really enjoyed splitting wood and handling the digger 😀
